- The first musical you saw and/or most impressed you: First I remember seeing was LITTLE SHOP OF HORRORS with the lovely Su Pollard which I loved, but first that had real impact was LES MISERABLES at the Edinburgh Playhouse. THAT is when I decided I wanted to be a performer.

- You would like to make a duet with: There are a few! Among them Alfie Boe, Lea Salonga, Sierra Boggess or Ramin Karimloo (but don´t tell him!).

- Webber or Sondheim? Eeek that is tough as I am currently IN a Webber show (which I rate as one of his best), but I think as an actor first, singer second, I HAVE to go for Sondheim.

- London or New York? I have NEVER been to New York! I am dying to go, and sure I´ll love it but in the mean time, I will go for London!

- Do you keep the programmes of the musicals you watch? Yes, always, and if I love it I will get a souvenir brochure as well. I also collect flyers. I have HUNDREDS from almost every show in the west end! My aim is one day when I own my own property, to have them all framed and fill a room - it´s quite a collection!

- The worst moment you’ve had live on the stage was (as a performer and/or as a spectator): That´s easy! In my first weekend at LES MISÉRABLES, on the Saturday night, we all ran on for our "finale" encore bow. I ran on with our Fantine and I slipped on the train of her white dress. I went flying, legs up in the air and landed flat on my back right in the centre of the stage in front of an audience of 1300 people. I was MORTIFIED! The audience found it hilarious. as did most of the cast but I was SO embarrassed. I will never forget that.

- Do you have any superstitions before the opening night? Not really to be honest. I´m not hugely superstitious, though some of the others in my cast are, so I respect that and don´t whistle or say "Macbeth" in the theatre!

- A musical character that you would like to BE (not perform): Daryl Van Horne (WITCHES OF EASTWICK, one of my FAVOURITES!). He´s just so cool!

- A character of your opposite sex that you would like to perform: Mary Poppins! What a role! One of my friends, Caroline Sheen played it and I was SO jealous!!! Also, I would be lying if i said I didn´t fancy a crack at Elpheba or Galinda!

- What do you like best/least about your work? When my job is good it´s GREAT. When it´s bad it´s awful. There is rarely a middle ground. I miss having my evenings, and our holidays are harder to plan. Also, there is the issue of job security. For performers when you sign a contract you are locked in, but if a producer decides to close a show, they only have to give you 2 weeks, which is a bit unfair. However, the feeling I get onstage, particularly when you are in a show you love, is like nothing on earth, and I wouldn´t want to do anything else.

- What is your favourite musical movie? Well, if MOULIN ROUGE counts, then it´s that. If NOT, then CHICAGO and/or MARY POPPINS. I never get bored watching those.

- The last CD/DVD related to Musicals that you have bought is: Eek! I bought 3 at the same time! ‘Unwritten Songs’ by Micheal Bruce, which I love, ‘More With Every Line’ by Tim Prottey Jones which I am just about to listen to now, and my good friend Shimi Goodman just released his debut solo album featuring new songs by another good friend Christopher Hamilton and a duet with the lovely Dianne Pilkington. I have been listening to that ALOT as it is a beautiful album with lovely music and Shimi´s voice is stunning.

- What is your favourite line from a musical: Hmmm... at the MOMENT it´s “Love brings you pleasure and love brings you pain, and yet when both are gone, love will still remain…” from LOVE NEVER DIES! I love it because it is so true.

- Agree or disagree with TV Shows finding new Musical Stars (as ‘Over The Rainbow’ or ‘I’d Do Anything’): There are 2 sides. On the plus side it raises Musical Theatres profile and gets people interested in seeing shows. On the whole though, I am not really in favour. The winners rarely have the stamina that drama school teaches, to sustain playing a leading role in a west end musical. There are too many wannabe´s around who think that it´s easy to do what we do, and it´s really not. It´s hard, not just the job itself, but the lifestyle that comes with it. These TV shows don´t prepare them for that and when the show flops or the contract ends, they are back at square one and find it hard.

- You feel proud of: Well, I have been doing this for 12 years now, and I am quite proud of most of the work I have done. I am particularly proud of being in LOVE NEVER DIES, because I REALLY wanted the job, and still can´t quite believe I am in it. Am also very proud of the shows I directed while I was living in Vienna for 5 years. I want to do more directing in the future.

- At this moment you’re living as an actor, the most important thing to you is: To stay very grounded and be realistic. I could be out of a job tomorrow so I need to make the most of every opportunity that comes my way. I think it is also very important to stay positive and enjoy my job. Which I do! We are very lucky to be able to do something that we love. My Dad told me that a few years ago so I try not to forget that. Not so many people can say that.

- Other projects you are working on: I have a few things going on at the moment. I recently recorded a track for the debut album of composer Chris Passey which will be released later in the year. It is SUCH a beautiful song and I can´t wait for people to hear it. Later this week I will be a guest artist at the first solo cabaret for Sophia Ragavelas (Les Mis, Mamma Mia, Never Forget) at the Delfont Rooms in London which I am thrilled about. Sophia is AMAZING and I am very flattered that she asked me (also guesting is Nikki Davis Jones). I have another cabaret in May in London coming up, as well as a big concert in Cardiff (where I will be singing Till I Hear You Sing Once More with a full orchestra!). I am also starting to put together my OWN solo cabaret for later in the year AND starting to get preparations made for my own album which I hope to do next year! So, I am keeping myself VERY busy!
