He has starred in the West End productions of THE PHANTOM OF THE OPERA, LES MISÉRABLES, NOTRE DAME DE PARIS, THE BEAUTIFUL GAME, WHISTLE DOWN THE WIND, CATS, MISS SAIGON and MARTIN GUERRE.

His professional debut was in LES MISÉRABLES, in Dublin.

David Shannon has also perform in different concerts, as CHESS IN CONCERT (Oslo, Suecia y Zurich) or LES MISÉRABLES 10th Anniversary Concert (Royal Albert Hall).

Currently he is performing the role of The Phantom in the West End production of THE PHANTOM OF THE OPERA.

- The worst moment you’ve had live on the stage was: (as a performer and/or as a spectator) Making up the lyrics to “Why God Why” in MISS SAIGON as I forgot them.

- An unforgettable moment: (as a performer and/or as a spectator) Coming back to LES MIS as Jean Valjean.

- Do you have any superstitions before the opening night? None.

- A musical character that you would like to BE (not perform): Gosh, I have no idea. Most characters either die or are too much larger than life for me.

- A character of your opposite sex that you would like to perform: Elphaba.

- What do you like best/least about your work? Change.

- What is your favorite musical movie? JESUS CHRIST SUPERSTAR - the original.

- The last CD/DVD related to Musicals that you have bought is: SWEENEY TODD.

- What is your favorite line from a musical: Can’t think of a musical, but there is a lyric I love which is “I sleep just to dream her”.

- Agree or disagree with TV Shows finding new Musical Stars: Not a fan really, but it seems to work.

- You feel proud of: my career choices.

- Of this moment you’re living as an actor, the most important thing to you is: my fiancée.

- Other projects you are working on:my album and some concerts back home in Ireland plus my sculpting.
