American performer who has starred in GODSPELL, WICKED and HAIRSPRAY in Broadway. In December 2008 she release her debut album, ‘Superhero’.

Her Off Broadway debut was in the revival of GODSPELL.

Other theatre credits include the Tony Award-winning production of Broadway´s HAIRSPRAY, where she performed Shelley and understudying the roles of Tracy Turnblad, Velma Von Tussle, and Prudy Pingleton, being a member of the original cast. In 2005 she became the 1st replacement for Idina Menzel in the Broadway production of WICKED, having a successful year-long run in the lead role. Bean reprised the role of Elphaba in the national tour of Wicked for a brief run in the fall of 2006. Since leaving WICKED, Bean has recorded background vocals for the film soundtracks to HAIRSPRAY and ENCHANTED.

Currently she is promoting and performing her debut album, ‘Superhero’.
