UK Productions celebrates the fifth year of its highly successful UK and international tour of Disney´s Beauty AND THE BEAST, which has received rave reviews and played to capacity audiences across the UK and around the world since April 2005. Having sold out its’ previous run in May 2007, BEAUTY AND THE BEAST returns to London at New Wimbledon Theatre this November, from Tuesday 3 to Saturday 7.

Shaun Dalton as Beast and Ashley Oliver as Belle lead this cast. They are joined by Ben Harlow (Gastón), Barmie Baumer (Mrs. Potts), Ashley Knight (Cogsworth), Phil Barley (Lumiere), Richard Colson (Maurice), Laura Barrie (Madame de la Grande Bouche), Eddie Dredge (Lefou) y Sophia Thierens (Babette).

A tale as old as time, Disney´s multi-award winning musical is one of the most popular and enchantingly romantic fables ever told. Seen by over 25 million people worldwide and nominated for 9 Tony Awards including Best Musical, this sumptuous, eye-popping theatrical phenomenon has wowed audiences worldwide with critically acclaimed, record-breaking runs in London, New York, Los Angeles, Toronto, Sydney and Tokyo.

This spectacularly staged West End show is a glorious musical masterpiece with lavish sets, glittering costumes, a tremendous cast and oodles of Disney charm and magic. With the much loved songs from the award winning Disney movie as well as all the adored characters, this show recreates, live on stage, the spectacular fantasy of the movie.

Featuring Mrs Potts and Chip, the hilarious double act Lumiere and Cogsworth, Gaston the town hero and, of course, the beautiful Belle and fearsome Beast, this enchanting story takes audiences from a small provincial town in France, through the shadow-filled woods to the Beast’s mysterious castle, all accompanied by the well loved songs from the show including “Be Our Guest”, “Human Again” and “Beauty and the Beast”.

Produced by Peter Frosdick and Martin Dodd for UK Productions, BEAUTY AND THE BEAST has music by Alan Menken, lyrics by Howard Ashman and Tim Rice and book by Linda Woolverton. It is directed and choreographed by Alison Pollard with musical supervision by Gareth Williams. Set design is by Charles Camm, with costumes by Elizabeth Dennis, lighting design by David Howe and sound design by Glen Beckley.

The Spanish production of Disney’s BEAUTY AND THE BEAST is nearly to begin its second season in Barcelona, where the Show will run from 31 October 2009 to 24 January 2010 at the Barcelona Teatre Musical.
